Congratulations to Reading ACs Jacob Cilliers for his performances at the Bauhaus Down Syndrome World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria last week.

Representing his native South Africa, Jacob, a very popular athlete at Reading Athletic Club, secured first place and gold medal to become the World Champion in the discus throw.

In other events, and in difficult conditions due to the heat and long wait times between throws Jacob also achieved fourth position in the shot put and eigth place in the javelin throw.
